Position Overview/Summary

As a Government Compliance Specialist your primary responsibility will be ensuring the compliance of all accounting practices to government regulations.

Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related discipline
  • 5-7 years of experience relating to Government Contracting
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) / cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Detail oriented and ability to prioritize work and multitask effectively
  • Ability to work well in both a team setting and independently
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and motivated to drive change and foster an environment to help achieve business results
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management both orally and in written form
  • Advanced level MS Excel skills with the ability to design complex models
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP system preferred.
  • Travel to Wellsville NY, Chesapeake VA, Chula Vista CA and Reston VA sites required

Security Clearance:

Candidate must be a US citizen and will be subject to a government security investigation to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the Secret level.

Position Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensure compliance of accounting practices to government regulations (CAS/FAR)
  • Facilitate internal and external audits (DCAA/DCMA)
  • Ensure all required processes and procedures are in place and followed
  • Conduct Division wide training and provide updates on various compliance topics
  • Build Rate structures for multiple sites ensuring compliance with federal regulations  
  • Good working knowledge of Accounting practices
  • This position will provide backup proposal pricing support for task orders and contract modification proposals to the federal government. This effort will include preparation of price proposals and supporting documentation in accordance with government RFPs and corporate Estimating System.
