Position Overview/Summary

Manage client activity during the business development and negotiation phase, Identifying the client project evaluators, influencers and decision-makers who are key to the project. Act as the project or market champion within Siemens/D-R, leading all aspects of the business and project development from the initial stages through order entry. Manage the client interface, presenting our proposal including presenting the value proposition, and negotiating technical and contractual terms.

 

This position could be located in Orlando, Florida or Charlotte, North Carolina.

Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred)

EDUCATION

An Engineering degree from an accredited higher education institution or equivalent work experience.

 

EXPERIENCE

5+ years of sales / application engineering and/or experience with one or more of the following products:

    • Compressors / Blowers
    • Steam Turbines
    • Gas Turbines
    • Centrifugal Pumps

SKILL/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

    • Must demonstrate/possess excellence in the following skill areas
    • Proven track record of goal attainment, including sales & negotiation skills
    • Confident and professional communication style, both written and oral.
    • Presentation skills appropriate for executive leadership and high level client contacts.
    • Client facing orientation– relationship building, attention to detail and tenacity are critical.
    • Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
    • Very Good English language written and verbal skills.
    • Substantial (50%) travel is required.

 

 

Position Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide leadership and focus for order capture activities and achievement of growth initiative.
  • Monitor and report market activity and trends.
  • Find, train and manage new or existing Sales Representatives / Business Partners
  • Establish and maintain preferred provider relationship with key client decision-makers and influencers.
  • Routinely present to clients and Business Partners an overview of the Company, the Company’s approach to market and its capabilities.
