Position Overview/Summary

The HSE Site Supervisor will support the Manager, U.S. Field Services HS&E, staff and the Regional Field Service Manager and staff in enhancing safety behaviors and achieving HS&E excellence in the Services Americas region.

Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred)

Required Qualifications:

 

  • The legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • A high school diploma.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% (domestically).
  • Ability to be on call in the event of after hour incidents.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and its implementation.
  • Work with minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to promote best practices on HS&E management to achieve compliance within all areas of the business.
  • Provide clear, practical advice and guidance for management and staff.
  • Possess or willing to obtain first aid/CPR certification and office/workplace ergonomics assessor certification.
  • Must be competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency and confident in delivering HS&E power point presentations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Have good background in Health and Safety procedures and policies.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Have the ability to interact with employees and client at all levels.

Preferred:

  • An Associates or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience in machine shops and industrial environments (refinery/chemical plants) will be considered.
  • CSP, ASP or other recognized safety certification.
  • 3 years of experience in an HS&E related role.

Position Responsibilities and Duties

  • This position supports the Services Americas HS&E team in enhancing safety behaviors and achieving HS&E Excellence in the Services Americas region.
  • Develop Relationships with Key Clients in marketplace to establish avenue for lessons learned from industry counterparts and best practice sharing.
  • Assist Project Managers in the development of site safety plans and execution of HSE on field service jobs.
  • Coordinate all activities related to environmental, health and safety compliance to ensure that issues are managed according to legal requirements, company and client policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation of active training programs and new initiatives to ensure employee safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Input, maintain and create reports in the following databases: (1) incident data, (2) training records, (3) audits and inspections.
  • Perform ergonomic office/workplace assessments.
  • Coordinate health & wellness initiatives and fairs.
  • Serve on HS&E committees as needed.
  • Conduct HS&E-related compliance audits, inspections, and assessments of company and client job sites and workplaces across the business and ensure that the region is compliant with HS&E-related regulatory affairs, company standards, and client requirements.
  • Develop, implement and manage HS&E policies, plans, procedures and processes to ensure the effective management of hazard identification, assessment of risk and implementation of controls.
  • Develop and facilitate training, safety meeting topics and safety notices for employees on issues related to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Assist supervisors with incident management including performing root cause analysis of HSE incidents at client sites, and assist in case management of reported injuries.
  • Coordinate health and safety related programs for Computer Based Training, Monthly Safety Team Meetings, Shift Start-Up Meetings, TRIR tracking, environmental compliance, OSHA documents, root cause analysis for near miss and safety incidents.
  • Creates and updates Job Safety Analysis and HIRA.Provide appropriate training for blood borne pathogens, noise and hearing conservation, respiratory fitness, injury prevention, etc.
  • Consult with supervisor/manager with questions relating to HS&E responsibilities.
